THE SPONDYLUS WAY

So named for being the place where the exotic Spondylus shell. This mollusk lives in the warm waters of the Ecuadorian coast, its unique beauty and exquisite meat, was highly requested by our ancestors, become a sacred object and trade throughout Latin America. Spondylus is currently part of the cuisine of the coast of Ecuador. This route was used since prehispanic times by the inhabitants of the region as a trade route between pre-Columbian cultures such as Valdivia Machalilla, maintain, and Huancavilca Chorrera.
